As babies grow and develop, the books they love develop too.
Very young babies adore the sound of your voice so even really simple pictures will get them gurgling with joy. Babies love repetition too, so if you find a favourite book you can share it again and again.
As your baby begins to explore with their hands, touchy-feely books are ideal. And as they begin to learn their first words, books that encourage them to repeat simple phrases are great fun. That's probably why nursery rhymes never go out of fashion!
